About Us

Our background

AA Shade Netting was registered in 2010, as successor to a specialist shadeport manufacturer that was in business for some 15 years. Technical staff moved with the business, ensuring continuity of experience and expertise.

We have three crews on the road, plus our own sewing and steel workshops, in order to ensure that we can offer quick responses and repair turnarounds.

The business is owner-managed, with every installation and repair being personally supervised.

 

Our products and services

Shadeports:    roofed with netting material, with conventional 4-post or cantilevered structures.

Our designs include standard, high-wind and slab-mounted structures.

Carports:         steel-roofed, both cantilever and 4-post. A luxury line with imported heat- and noise-resistant roofing is available.

Patio covers:  under the Alto Awnings brand we produce flat or domed shade covers, plus our FlatStretch^® frameless shades and BowStretch continuous shades that can be configured to any architectural specification.

Maintenance:  we provide a full repair and maintenance service, including minor repairs, plus a monitoring service to routinely check and report on installations.

Insurance:      our extensive knowledge of insurance coverage and exclusions enables us to assess the admissibility of damage as an insurance claim.

 

Our location

Based in central Johannesburg, we service the whole of Gauteng.

For large contracts we will work anywhere in Southern Africa.

For more distant locations we offer a ‘pack and plan’ service – we pre-manufactured structures and send them in kit form to the site. Detailed installation instructions are included.

Flexibility:       we aren’t bound to just one or two designs, but will create solutions to fit any situational or architectural requirement.

Precision:        because we know that even minor aspects of an installation can have a major impact on the overall result, we ensure that every detail of the structure and installation is precisely correct

Engineering:   our designs are approved by consulting engineers. For difficult geotechnical environments we will also have engineers sign off our installation methods.

Materials:       we use the best netting and steel components available, and do a triple quality check on all critical elements. Our installations are deliberately over-engineered to ensure stability and longevity.
